PDLC Switchable Smart Film

ILLUMI1 Film is operated by a simple electrical switch to control the opacity of the switchable film, turning it from clear to translucent. It can easily be integrated into home automation systems, giving you even more control. In its opaque state (unpowered, frosted state), the film acts as an electronic blind providing privacy and security for any glass, window, or partition.

It also acts as a high-quality projection screen. Rear projection gives you the highest quality image, whilst front projection effects can be enhanced with an additional reflective coating.

ILLUMI1 Film also provides thermal, solar, and sound insulation benefits, helping to keep rooms cool, comfortable and quiet. It regulates temperature and helps protect your skin and furniture from damage. Additionally, proven to reduce the impact of extreme outside temperatures on your interior temperature, thus saving you on energy costs.

A high temperature switchable film is also available for skylights and other exterior facing applications.

The ILLUMI1 Film is very economical and environmentally friendly, using less than 6 Watts per square meter when it is on (transparent) and 0 Watts when it is off (opaque). To put things in perspective, one LED lightbulb uses more energy than ten square meters of smart film or glass.
